ABOUT
NJISS is a consulting practice run by Lily Qiu and team that aims to guide international students on how to navigate the American education system and create experiences that take advantage of the best of American culture and scholarship. We aim to build life foundations for the children we work with, empowering them as future leaders and endowing them with character and creativity.
Located in historic Princeton, NJ, which has a vibrant, cultured, academic community, as well as in close proximity to the large cities of New York, Philadelphia, Washington. D.C., NJISS has access to a fantastic network of academic institutions, school administrators, and elite educational professionals, only hours away from all Ivy League schools and other prestigious East Coast boarding school. NJISS is also near multiple international airports, the gateways to Asia, Europe and other parts of the world.
Lily Qiu
Founder and CEO
She started her education career as a Chinese teacher, Principal, and board director of her regional Chinese school, after having spent 20 years working in medical research. She discovered her career path while working initially as a volunteer teach at Chinese school and tutoring her students. Lily made such a difference in her students' life that she was driven to fine-tune her unique process for teaching, learning and share it with others. She moved beyond just language instruction to standardized test preparation as well, starting first with her own two children. As more and more students began to inquire about working with her to improve their performance in the sciences, and SAT and ACT test preparation, she realized that she wanted to build a consulting profession around her teaching and counseling services, alongside a few trusted partners through the years.
